I want to start this message off with a very big heartfelt thank you to everyone who has visited & continues to visit our network.
I sincerely hope that you are enjoying the latest broadway, entertainment and radio news along with the thousands of music videos from Armada, Spinnin' Records, Trap Nation among others.
I have to admit that 2018 was an extremely trying year as we suffered several setbacks within the first couple of months of relaunching the network along with our host's downtime. Back in September we moved to new host only to be suspended having to move back to our original host. I also wasn't able to keep up with some of our much needed updates/upgrades as well as new features that still need to be implemented.
I'm pleased to announce that we've started 2019 off on a good foot which I hope will continue into the new year!
For starters we have moved to a new host which seems to be extremely fast even though Alexa's traffic rank extension says our network is now slower than our original host. While our network maybe slower, our traffic rank has gone from 427,000 back on January 1st to 412,000 as of January 3rd. We are making progress slowly and working our way back up the traffic rank ladder.
As you know you can change your location by clicking on the country flag in the upper left hand corner of the screen. I'm pleased to announce that Japan is coming is by the end of the month. When you click on the Japanese flag not only will most of the menu be translated into Japanese, but you will also have access to a Japanese Holiday Calendar as well. So for those of you who live in Japan and would like to promote events you will finally be able to submit them through our contact form. In addition to promoting your events you'll also be able to submit your radio stations as well for consideration into our links directory.
Once I get our network's menu translated into Japanese I will be bringing down the House Of Blues features on both the mobile & desktop versions of the network. The mobile version needs to be tweaked before it can be relaunched which should not take long. The desktop version will appear similar to the mobile version as I will be moving the restaurant information, foundation room and event info underneath their respective banners.
A Soundcloud widget will be implemented into everyone's profiles in February allowing you to add your tracks for friends & visitors to listen to.
I've also started working on bringing back the ability to login/register with facebook, Linkedin & twitter. I am hoping to get this up and running by the end of March. So please be patient as it is coming.
Sunday's Jazz In The Park is also returning as a monthly feature. The first Sunday of each month will showcase a different artist and we will not be repeating any artists throughout 2019.
Also in 2019 we will be bringing in more LGBTQ content with links to artists as well as music videos.
I'm looking forward to 2019 as I intend on growing The PGE Network for everyone to enjoy.
