Happy 1st Birthday

2 Weeks ago I let the whole world know that Pirates Gold Entertainment turned 1yr old. Unfortunately our issues with our previous host popped back up as we spent the past several days unable to access our site Pirates Gold Entertainment as well as our new site ICT Pride.

Because of this we made the decision we needed to move our site as quickly as possible. I've spent the past 19 days searching for a new host and applying for several of them. 99% of them didn't even send our registration info for us to access our new service.

Late yesterday we found out that our domain name registar, GoDaddy, offers us 10gig of space plus 300gig of bandwidth for free. I probably shouldn't be promoting this but yes you can get this great deal for free just by registering your domain name with GoDaddy. The only drawback is that GoDaddy places they're "really pretty" ad at the top of our site.

We currently use Joomla as our website platform and it saves all of our information, articles, forum posts, etc... in our database. Due to us not being able to access our website or cpanel over the past week all released updates and last week's updates were unable to be saved.

We are currently working to re-release these past week's updates and hope that our downtime is now over with. I want to encourage everyone who had any issues over the past month please check and see if your issue has been resolved. With that mouthful I want to re-welcome everyone including new members & visitors to Pirates Gold Entertainment. We are 1year old now and only getting better. I remember when we started with nothing but a website, and now we're a truly community oriented Music social network.

On May 27th, 2010 just days aways from our 1st birthday we registered a brand new domain name. That domain name is PiratesGoldEntertainment.co.cc. Our new domain name is just one of many new features we'll be launching throughout the year. We love what we do here at PGE and music truly is our life. We hope you love being a member a much as we love having you a part of Pirates Gold Entertainment.

Dimming The Lights

It is with much regret and a very heavy heart that I must inform everyone that we will be dimming the lights here at: Pirates Gold Entertainment.

Over the past year we have had a great time and hopefully lots of laughs. Please understand we are not going anywhere and we'll always be here. Due to unforeseen personal and financial circumstances we are moving Pirates Gold Entertainment to a new host which does not have the necessary capabilities to run a site like ours. So while we will still be here a few of the features that you have come to love will be temporarily unavailable.

I am in the process of making a backup copy of our site and we will begin moving the site in the next few days. I will keep everyone updated as to the status of our move.

Sade has been added to The Listening Lounge

Less than 7 days ago we launched our newest feature: The Listening Lounge to all Pirates Gold Entertainment members. The Listening Lounge was launched to further cement our goal in becoming the first true social music network on the web. As we continue to grow and evolve here at Pirates Gold Entertainment our mission stays the same, Music. Music. & More Music!

With that said we are now pleased to announce that we have added Sade's The Best of Sade to The Listening Lounge!
